How to prepare.

Your experience is uniquely yours and you will receive exactly what you need. If you choose to sit with this medicine more than once, your responses may vary, and that is because your energy and what needs cleansing will be different each time. Make sense? Now that we have that out of the way, let's get into it...

I meet you exactly where you're at. I've worked with people with addictions and they prepare as best as they can, and don't quite follow the preparation guidelines here but they showed up adhering to the guidelines in the contraindication form. Do your best, and know that's enough.

Preparation (before ceremony)

1–3 days prior

  • Please refrain from sweating. Save the saunas, sweat lodges, or intense physical activity that causes heavy sweating for 2 days before and after Kambo. You want your electrolytes and sodium to be balanced. Depletion of these can lead to hyponatremia during or after your Kambo session.
  • Avoid fasting for longer than 24 hours for 7 days before and after Kambo. (Bone broth is okay.)
  • No substances or alcohol for 24+ hours. See the waiver for specific timelines regarding substances before and after Kambo.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothes. Please avoid long sleeves.
  • Have a small trashcan or bucket ready, along with 2–3.5 liters of water. (If I'm going to you)
  • Eat clean, light, nourishing meals (fruits, vegetables, grains, broth).
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, dairy, pork, processed foods, and recreational substances.
  • Hydrate well with water and herbal teas.

The night before

  • Eat your last meal no later than 7pm (light & simple).
  • Set your intention (journal or meditate on what you'd like to release or call in).
  • Get plenty of rest.

The day of ceremony

  • Fast for 6–8 hours before session (water only).
  • Do not take supplements or medications unless cleared in consultation.
  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing.
  • Bring:
    • A water bottle
    • A small blanket if desired
    • An open heart & willingness to surrender

Aftercare (integration & recovery)

Right after ceremony

  • Rest and hydrate slowly.
  • Eat something light and nourishing (soup, fruit, broth, or plant-based meal).
  • Take time to journal or sit in silence to capture insights.

The first 24–48 hours

  • Avoid alcohol, heavy/greasy foods, and strenuous activities.
  • Stay hydrated with water, coconut water, or herbal teas.
  • Be gentle with yourself, physically and emotionally.
  • Rest, stretch, or do light walking if it feels good.
